Once upon a time, I was asked if I would photograph a three day Dog adoption event, Dog Days. This was my first experience photographing a dog adoption event. The first day was the hardest. This was a huge event, bringing together multiple dog rescues and a lot of dogs. As the dogs arrived I could sense the confusion, fear, and anxiety they were feeling. However, the volunteers showered them endlessly with love, compassion and lots of attention. It didn't take long before they began to feel more comfortable and at ease in the new surroundings.
